Protect Public Lands
Recently, Senator Mike Lee of Utah made a proposal to mandate the sale of up to 3.3 million acres of federal public land across 11 western states. Fortunately, this was blocked by the Senate Parliamentarian, who ruled it violated budgetary rules. In response to widespread backlash, Lee announced changes to the bill, including the removal of Forest Service lands, and limiting eligible BLM parcels that fell into specific ‘zones.’
