TFNU Board Member, Donor Development Lead Needed
Trails Foundation of Northern Utah (TFNU) is looking for a Volunteer Board Member to fill the role of Donor Development Lead
Trails Foundation of Northern Utah is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to plan, promote, preserve, protect, construct, and maintain a network of public pathways, trails, and related open spaces for non-motorized users throughout Northern Utah as well as to educate, advocate and raise awareness of trails. Our board plays a vital role in guiding the organization, ensuring sustainability and advancing our mission.
We are seeking a volunteer Board Member who will take a leadership role in donor development and fundraising strategy. This individual will work closely with the TFNU Staff and Board of Directors to strengthen relationships with donors, expand our giving base, and ensure long-term financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as an active member of the Board of Directors, attending meetings and contributing to governance and strategic planning.
Help lead the organization’s donor development and fundraising efforts.
Collaborate with staff and board to cultivate, steward, and retain donors.
Help design and implement giving campaigns, and donor recognition strategies.
Leverage personal and professional networks to expand community support.
Act as an ambassador for the organization, representing our mission to potential donors, partners, and the broader community.
Experience in fundraising, donor relations, philanthropy, or related fields.
Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
Passion for our mission and commitment to advancing it through resource development.
Willingness to actively engage in fundraising and donor outreach.
Previous nonprofit or board experience is helpful but not required.
Term: Two (2) – 3 years terms
Time: Monthly Board Meeting, TFNU events and Committee Meetings as needed.
Play a key role in shaping the future of TFNU.
Build meaningful relationships within the community.
Leave a lasting impact by ensuring sustainable support for TFNU.
